Transparent Asynchronous UART mode
Baud Rate 9.6Kbps
14.7456 MHz Crystal Oscillator

Channel : 433.916Mhz

REF DIV : 12

RX FREQ : 582000

Hi,

I have using CC2530+CC2591 and using Z-stack 2.5.0(CC2530).Right now I am using SerialApp module and enable the macro HAL_PA_LNA.

So my question is what is the maximum power by default??Is there any changes needed for more power and if needed than at where place in code we have to set power??

FAQ and Information on using Beaglebone Black and CC2531 USB Dongle as Edge Router for 6LoWPAN

Hi,

I am interested to use the Beaglebone Black + CC2531 USB Dongle as Edge Router Configuration.

I referred to the below TI Wiki Link to know the HW + SW Requirements for Edge Router:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Contiki-6LOWPAN

There it is mentioned that we require the Beaglebone Black + CC2531 USB Dongle for the Edge Router Configuration.

But I am not able to find the corresponding SW examples to configure the Beaglebone Black and CC2531 Project Examples to make them work as 6LoWPAN Edge Router.

Also, I referred to the below TI-Contiki Wiki Link:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Getting_started_with_Contiki_and_CC2530

But there they have mentioned that we need the CC2530 Development Kit to use the Contiki OS Port.
Moreover, that port is using the SmartRF05 Evaluation Board.

So can you please guide me to suitable links which gives examples for using the Beaglebone + CC2531 USB Dongle or Beaglebone + CC2530 chipset to be configured to 6LoWPAN Edge Router.

Thanks,
Sunny

Difference between CC2590RGVR and CC2590RGVT?

Hi all,

I want to use a CC2590 but there doesn't appear to be any documentation on the website or in the datasheet on what the difference is between the two variants: the RGVR and the RGVT.  Both seem to be in the same QFN 4x4mm package, with the same datasheet and pinouts.

Can someone please point me to what the difference is or if there is a difference at all?

thanks.

CC2530 Communication issues

Hi,

My application is a CC2530 master device configured as Co-coordinator communicating with four slave devices configured as Routers.

The master device gets commands from PC thru its serial port and transmits to slave, waits for the response and then sends back the response to PC. The same process is repeated continuously for all the four slave devices. There are about 180 -200 communications (i.e 1 communication is successful transmission from PC and its reception from the respective slave) for 1 minute. This setup will run continuously for 8 to 12 hours. This is one of our test methods to check how good is the RF communication when running continuously. In this test method, sometimes the slave devices stops RF communication and makes the test method to fail.  How to solve this or is there any method to check the performance of CC2530 for continuous running for 8 to 12 hours.

CC1200 Transparent mode baseband data format

Hi,

Is there anyone knows about the output baseband data format of CC1200 in transparent mode? I tried to find it in the datasheet, but the only thing I have is:

In transparent mode CC1200  outputs the digital baseband signal using a digital interpolation filter to eliminate jitter introduced by digital filtering and demodulation", promising 500kBaud data rate in transparent mode.

It would be great if I can have a definition of the data format. Your help is appreciated, Thanks,

ZLight2 reference design

Hi all,

I followed the reference design given by Ti for the CC2531 ZLight2 (http://www.ti.com/tool/CC2531ZLIGHT2-RD).

I fabricated the PCBs on FR4 material and soldered all the components. When I tried to test it out, I couldn't establish pairing with the ZLRemote. I check the board, I can download programs onto the board with a CCDebugger. I can write a simple program to turn on and off the LEDs individually. As such, I am pretty sure that the connections and soldering on the board is mostly good.

Now, I just can't get the wireless to work. I am not what is the cause of it and how can I check the problem easily. I am not sure if this is because of the PCB material and the antenna design. Is there any simple programs I can download on the board to test? Maybe for it to send something out continuously and I can use a CC2531 usb dongle to sniff the packets. If the dongle can detect packets, then I presume the wireless is fine right?

Cheers,

Kian

CC Debugger and CC2531 Flashing problem

Main Question follow up : https://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless_connectivity/f/158/p/358374/1572403#pi239031348=1

I tried to upgrade CC2531 USB dongle using CC Debugger and SmartRF Flash programmer. When I plug in the CC Debugger to Host machine USB, SmartRF tells me it needs to updgrade the firmware which I did and after that it does not recognize the CC debugger any more.
Packet Sniffer tool is listing CC2531 dongle.

When I connect CC Debugger to CC2531 I have green light on CC Debugger LED, so drivers seems fine, but tool does not detect CC2531.

Even CC Debugger is not detected in the tool

Following the instructions given in Sec 8 of CC Debugger User Guide, I was able to recover CC Debugger and it started appearing in SmartRF Tool as well.

CC Debugger Led is always RED even though device manager shows cebal driver loaded properly. Also, When I did reset using step 8 for the first time then Led was RED as well, but then I pressed Reset button and it turned GREEN. Repeating the same procedure is not resulting in Led turning Green.

If I connect CC2531 now to PC it gets enumerated in device manager as CC2531 USB dongle, but both RED and GREEN Leds are glowing here. After sometime it turns RED completely.

How can I reset CC2531 now ?

Why is RED led glowing on CC Debugger when everything seems fine at driver and SmartRF tool level ?

Customizing SmartRF Flash Programmer 2

Hello,

We are working on a product and for which we want to use SmartRF Flash Programmer 2 for programming our device.

We have a special require from this software, and we hope that you might help us on this matter.

Our business relies on the fact that we want to give our device to a third party for programming the device which is cc2650 based. And we want to track how many devices have been programmed. We also dont want to handover our firmware to them thus we want to keep our hex file cloud based and want Smart RF programmer to send a request to our server to download the hex temporarily and program the device thus giving us the exact number of device programmed by it.

We want to customize the Smart RF to have the above feature. Can you help us regarding that matter. Are you allowed to share the source code of Smart RF or are you feasible with customizing the software for us?

Any help you be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hy

My new CC2540 USB Evaluation Module Kit just arrived and I followed the "Quick Start Guide" to get the USB Dongle to work. First I installed the SmartRF Packet Sniffer from: http://www.ti.com/tool/packet-sniffer . The version I installed is: 2.18.0. But when I insert the USB Dongle into my Laptop with Windows 7 64 bit the automatic device installation dosent work. I tried to install the driver manually from C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\SmartRF Tools\Drivers\cebal\win_64bit_x64 but then windows showed me the Massage:

"Windows was unable to install your Unknown Device. Windows could not find driver software for your device."

I searched for a solution/ driver in your forum and the TexasInstruments site but could not find a solution. Any ideas?

Hi there,

I need to use the packet sniffer tool (SmartRF05EB + CC2530-91EM) but it gives an error saying the firmware need to be updated.

When opening in the Flash Programmer, it says the Firmware ID its unknown. After downloading the firmware located in the firmware folder, it keeps saying, Unknown Firmware ID.

Firmware ID 500

Firmware revision 041

Does anyone has faced this problem before?

Tiago

CC1120 Performance line development kit range and data rate

$

Hi,

We have Ti's cc1120 performanceline development kit and achieved range of 1.2 km in dense area with following configuration:

Data rate:600 bps

Frequency:868 MHz

Tx Height:15m from ground

Rx Height: 1.2 m from ground

Frequency devuation: 1.499176kHz

Modulation method: 2-GFSK

Rx Bandwidth:12.5

Tx Power: 15dbm

Now according to my application I need more data rate than 600bps. In our previous application we were using zigbee having 200kbps. Is this datarate possible with 1km of range? So is there any configuration for that to achieve as maximum as possible(minimum 1km)range and better data rate?

after compiled I got cc26xx-demo.bin and I upload to cc2650 via SmartRF Flash Programmer2 ver.16.1

and the MCU does not work even printf  like this: printf("CC26XX demo\n");

Where I should do something or I did worng.
